Sheltering below the plunging walls of the Great Rift Valley lies the quintessentially serene Lake Manyara Tented Camp, tucked in an evergreen forest on bird-rich Lake Manyara. Lake Manyara National Park is where Ernest Hemingway camped on the hunting safari that inspired his book, Green Hills of Africa.
Lion roar helped us to see leopard
We started our night game drive at 6:40 after hot spring drink stop. Didn’t take us long to experience the night game viewing at loop ya kwanza, we heard thick tail bush baby calling on an acacia tree we looked at it for few minute drove off. That was no only the event of the drive, as we heard a male lion roaring in the bushes you could tell from the call that he was about hundred meters from the road. From King of jungle roaring, false the elusive cat (leopard) out of the bush to the road. Where we saw it walking and we followed it for about ten minutes before he decided that the show is over and diverted off the road to other side of the road from where lion roar.
