Sandibe Safari Lodge is sheltered in a forest of wild palms and fig trees and flanked by the papyrus-rich channels of the Okavango Delta. The sensitively designed lodge witnesses the ever-changing moods of the Delta, from wintry oasis to rainy rejuvenation.

Lion with giraffe kill

We were fortunate to see this sighting 15 minutes before our flight to Nxabega. The lioness and her three cubs killed the young giraffe in the early morning hours and were having a feast. Many animals gather round the airstrip in the evenings as it is very open and they fell saver for the nights rest. But the predators also come here to hunt as they is a greater concentration of food for them.
