Lions steal a Leopards kill in tree
The pride of Lions had come to investigate the alarm calls of a herd of Impalas, unbeknown to the Lions a Leopard had moments before killed and hoisted a young Impala in a nearby tree, the Lions walked past the tree with the Impala kill in it searching for the reason of the Impalas frantic alarm calls, one of the Lions stopped and smelt the ground, she had found the scent trail of where the Leopard had dragged the Impala kill to the tree, the Lioness followed the scent trail to the base of the tree and then looked up to see the Impala carcass hanging in the tree, immediately the Lioness jumped into the tree and was quickly followed by the rest of the Lion pride, in about 1 minute there were 4 Lions in the tree competing for the small Impala kill, it was quite comical to see the large cats squabbling in a tree that couldn’t accommodate them all, the last lions to climb the tree couldn’t even reach the kill and they jumped down without eating anything, in the end the first Lioness to climb the tree got the largest portion of the kill and another two Lions each got a small mouth full, we also saw the Leopard sitting in a tree about100metres away watching the Lions devour her meal.
