A few members of a heard of elephants moving through the area had either only one tusk or non at all. Our ranger Vincent also noted that the one elephant’s tusk look broken. Why this has occurred we do not know but hope somebody has an explanation.

Being in the Okavanho Delta, is not just about the animals and the water but we also found the most beautiful sunsets. Thanks for the staff of Nxabega for providing drinks, snacks and song at these sunsets.

After a coffee break during the morning game drive, our ranger, Katembo, noticed that there are fresh leopard tracks on the road we had previously driven on. Only 100 meters from were we saw the track, we saw the leopard move into the bushes. We followed to find not only one but three leopards – a mother and two cubs, aged at approximately one year old....

After trekking the leopard for half an hour in the dark, we were fortunate to see Chololo kill a Steenbok, next to the vehicle. The first time I experienced this. After seconds he disappeared into the bush not to be seen again the evening. Next morning our rangers, Dave and Kholun, took us back to the spot of the killing and started to search for Chololo....
