Kichwa Tembo
Immersed in monkey-rich forest, Kichwa Tembo is an opulent oasis of Hemingway-style tents with sweeping views of the greatest grassland system in the world - the exquisite Masai Mara. Kichwa Tembo Bateleur Camp is a smaller, exclusive camp adjacent to the main camp.

Murder in Mara
A Predator killing a predator and a prey chase a predator!
On 15th March 2008, after I received my guests from Kichwa Tembo airstrip, I came across a very beautiful relaxed leopard on my way to the camp. As we were watchinc the leopard, I saw a pride of lion. Two dominant males of the area and three female with two cubs. The one year old cub cornered a hyena and killed it on the spot.
With the cubs still on the spot, we saw a herd of buffalo sniffing to the air running towards the lion, chasing the lions for about 500 metres and came back to the hyena. They surrounded the dead animal which I guess they were mourning for him. “sorry poor hyena”. What a good day sighting!
