Ngorongoro Crater Lodge is perched on the edge of the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater at the eastern edge of the Serengeti in northern Tanzania. It lies within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which covers more than 8 000 square kilometres (3 100 square miles) of pristine African wilderness.
NEVER HAVE I SEEN THIS BEFORE!
During our game drive early in the morning in the crater on jackal loop area we came across a bird sighting that I have never seen in my entire life here at Ngorongoro Crater Lodge. It was 2 big flock of Abdim's Storks which we have estimated to be 10,000. They make a good sickle shape, and on the other side just a few metres away was another flock of White Storks, also on their sickle shape. All of them seemed to have spent their night in the ground. It was so amazing and we were so exited to see that.
