New borns in Mara
Two cheetahs have been spotted since November 2007, both female, one with five cubs while the other has four cubs which is unusual numbr for cheetahs. One female was also spotted along the Tanzania border having five cubs but lost one within two days of exposure. After four months, two cubs were killed by hyena after their mother brought them a baby gazelle when the hyena stormed them taking the kill and killing the two cubs with no help from the mother who flew away. Sorry for the poor cheetah" who is now left with two cubs.
An expectant cheetah observed along serena airstrip for three day laying on the tall grass. It has now given birth. Good news for all the Mara rangers and the guests. By Eric Ole Kakui
