NEW MALES!
I had guests for six nights, which had seen pretty much everything except male lions. On their second last morning we found fresh tracks for two of our three male lions. We started following them. The guests were quite excited because it was also two of my guests from the previous morning, but while we were tracking these two males, another ranger found four young male lions. That was fantastic news to hear, but we were following these two males and the other four were quite far off. Two of the guests were leaving relatively early that morning. Anyway we did find those two male lions. That afternoon I told my guests about the four new males and we decided to head down into the South where they were found that morning. We eventually found these young males and it was fantastic to see new lions in the area. They were a little nervous because they were in a new area and they weren't sure if it was occupied by a male or male lions. We estimated their age at about 4- 5 years of age. Unfortunately we haven't seen them since but who knows, they might be back one day to try and take over the territory here in the western sector of the Sabi Sands.
