Lions on Ngala over the past 2 years have been quite difficult to find, but we think that the lion density is on the rise and that they are back for good!  A few nights ago I was out on a training drive when we spotted Nightjar on the road. As we looked more closely I noticed a small chick that was huddled up closely behind its mother. I presume it is a Fiery-necked Nightjar but always struggle to differentiate between species.

 Last night we probably experienced one of the most unbelievable things I have ever seen in the bush. A pride of 24 lions had been found in the West of Ngala Private Game Reserve , consisting of 18 cubs and 6 lionesses.
