Ngala Private Game Reserve has the privilege of being the only private reserve in the world-renowned Kruger National Park. Opulent Ngala Safari Lodge pays tribute to a bygone era of elegance while Ngala Tented Camp is chic and modern.
NOW THATS WHAT I CALL VEAL
We were alerted by a Jackal's alarm call, so off we went to check it out. On arrival we found a male Cheetah that had just taken down an Impala, he was catching his breath and started removing the stomach etc. from the carcass. The Jackal who by now had sensed a possible meal, had long since stopped alarming, and was sussing out a strategy to get a chunk of meat. The Cheetah dragged the carcass into a small thicket, dislodging a fetus, the Jackals scheming came to a halt, as it hastily dragged the fetus away.
Awww - it's a shame that the female impala was pregnant. But has they say - It's nature. By the way, your photo doesn't seem to download all the way on my computer at least.

Its great that these parks exist. A long time ago when all these animals were plentiful and left to their own devices, predator and prey seemed to keep the balance nicely. Now with so few of the large animals left, it seems that we have to micro manage how many of each are left, if we want to keep them for future generations.
