Ngorongoro Crater Lodge is perched on the edge of the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater at the eastern edge of the Serengeti in northern Tanzania. It lies within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which covers more than 8 000 square kilometres (3 100 square miles) of pristine African wilderness.

one eyed tawny!!!!

It was quite interesting to watch this massive raptor tearing apart a big snake about three metres in size(most probably a juvenile rock python),upon further scrutiny i realised that the tawny eagle was struggling to look around as it was turning it's head almost three hundred degrees.Thats when i realised that it was missing it's left eye.How it lost it's eye is a mystery forever.
