In the heart of Maasai territory on the north-eastern boundary of the Serengeti National Park is a private concession of 10 000 hectares, set aside for the exclusive use of Klein's Camp's 20 guests. The spectacular location of the camp on the edge of the Kuka Hills commands sweeping views across a broad valley through which the annual great migration passes.
ONE VS. THREE
What a wonderful morning it was! We went out with our lovely guests and they only wanted to see leopard and lions. As luck would have it, not far from the camp on our way out we saw leopard tracks! So we followed them on foot for about 3 hundred metres. We then found lions tracks heading in the same direction. Within 50 metres we found three lions and one lioness. Then we went back taking our guests to the sigthing. For the first time in my life I saw all three lions mating with one lioness in the space of about 10 minute intervals.
