&BEYOND Exeter Lodges
Exeter is situated within the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, renowned for having the best Big Five game-viewing in South Africa, if not the world. The Reserve is famous for its incredible leopard sightings. The Sabi Sand leopards have grown accustomed to safari vehicles, thereby permitting close up sightings and extraordinary photographic opportunities.

Pangolin road block
"Have you ever seen a pangolin?" A popular question that is posed to guides all the time. One in which the response is often NO. For the guests and ranger that were on drive at Exeter last week, this answer is no a resounding YES!! This fascinating and reclusive animal decided that it would present itself, rather than be found. It did this by rolling up in a granite solid ball on the main acces road to our lodge, for all to see. Once we had all calmed down and could control our cameras, it untrolled and paraded across the road. It then disapeared into the bushes, back to where elusive and shy creatures go, but not before giving unforgetable experience.
