Patterns in the Grass
I would say that one of the most amazing spectacles to see in the wild is a large predator on the hunt, their heads and eyes locked in the direction of their prey. We were very lucky to have had the privilege of following one of our most relaxed female leopards one morning as she stalked closer to a warthog hole in the side of a large termite mound. As she stood dead still ready to pounce she sniffed the air carefully, and with the tip of her tail moving excitedly from side to side, she crept ever closer. Unfortunately for this little female, breakfast had already left. With our adrenalin pumping we decided to leave her in peace and head off for our breakfast which was waiting under the shade of a huge Marula tree along side the Sand River
