PRIDE OF 27 LIONS
In the west of our reserve last week we observed a pride of 27 lions. The make-up of the pride was 18 cubs, 6 females and 3 males. Since starting at Ngala in July last year, I have never seen so many animals together at one time. It was absolutely mind-blowing! It is at times like this when one realises that Ngala (the meaning for lion in Shangaan) was very appropriately named.
