Early mornings in the park are very chilly and one can often spot sandgrouse basking. This male painted sandgrouse was basking right in the middle of the vehicle track. As we would come closer, he would fly further away on the track. He did this several times, and we were all happy to get many photos of this beautiful bird.

Gaur bulls are truly stunning animals to sight in the Sal jungle and Kanha is one of their best habitats in India.We encountered this stunning Bull in his prime, one early morning and were mesmerized by his presence and sheer dignity! Some of these Bulls can weigh up to a ton and stand six feet at the shoulder!

It was a top night drive with two guest Daniel and Christine when six Porcupines and six African genet cats comes out sighting and other staff like white tail mongooses, sported hyenas, bush babies, and hippos grazing was just amazing !! 1 African wild cat and Serval cat very beautiful where the last to cover.Unbealivable!!111

On my game viewing in the evening we saw three male lions, six females and seven lion cubs. What was interesting was, a leopard up on the tree which seemed to be interested on something.
