PRONKING FOR JOY

The good rains this year have attracted a number of herbivorous animals to the once previous gravel plains. There is also an increase of predators; Black back Jackal, cheetah, African wild cat and the occasional Brown hyena. This springbok is pronking to show that she has no physical problems, which predators are so good at detecting and exploiting, as we drive passed.

Thanks Jacques and others for your recent postings from Sossusvlei - there most definitely is a great diversity of wildlife there. I enjoyed seeing the photos and reading the commentary.
