Ngorongoro Crater Lodge is perched on the edge of the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater at the eastern edge of the Serengeti in northern Tanzania. It lies within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which covers more than 8 000 square kilometres (3 100 square miles) of pristine African wilderness.
RARE TO SEE
It was during the early morning game drive, whilst on the way to Lake Magadi, that we observed a rare small cat{CARACAL}, searching for a feast. As he was looking from one bush to another for rodents or rabbits, suddenly a male Thomson gazelle came from far away and start chasing away the caracal. By the time that caracal had ran away towards the long dry grass, a rabbit came out. The caracal continued to attack that rabbit. He could not succeed and the gazelle gave up chasing the caracal.
