Resting leopard
Moving through a mix of shrub and woodland landscape, Bee caught sight of a big male Leopard. The morning was clear and bright with hardly a breath of wind. On a low lying branch of a Sausage tree about 150m away lay the leopard extremely relaxed. He remained unconcerned as we slowly approached. Something in the distance caught the leopard’s interest and he sat up. Everyone in the vehicle strained to see what it was. As the vehicle approached even closer we caught sight of a small herd of impala. Tension built up in the vehicle when all of a sudden the leopard lay back down for a nap. For a while we watched the sleeping leopard to see if his interest would pick up but in the end we left him to his slumber.
