ROCK MONITORS
The rock monitors that we found mating were fascinating to watch. We came across them in the road at night. At first I was confused as to what it was initially as all we could see was one large body with two tails. I got all my guests off the vehicle so that they could have a closer look. The animals seemed to almost be in a trance like state and did not seem to mind our presence. You could see by the tracks that they had come some way along the road and while we were there they continued to contort themselves around each other, rolling around. We watched them for over half an hour and I can only imagine how long this whole episode must have gone on for.
