ROLLING NOWHERE
After a long seven week work cycle, Allyn (guide) and myself made an early break for it on this cold Monday morning to get off the reserve and on holiday, trying to keep a low profile not to bump into any game drive vehicles. We came across this extremely relaxed, and extremely curious Lilac breasted roller... And even though we were already in holiday mode, a photographic opportunity like this couldn't be missed... After taking photos for about five minutes, we realised that this bird's apparent interest in us was actually just him staring in awe at his own colourful reflection in the car window... I guess the most colorful bird in Africa has a right to be vain.
