ROSY AIR
Yesterday morning Jacques, Moffat and I drove south east of Nxabega concession to explore some other parts on foot. While driving we saw some interesting birds like African pipit, wood sandpaper, Slaty egret. We drove into a big open area with long grass and Jacques pointed out a small brown bird which was flying around. We all picked up our binoculars to identify the bird. What we saw was a ROSY-THOATED LONGCLAW which is not common in this region. We stopped and took the rifle with us to follow it on foot because it landed not far from us. While looking for the Longclaw we managed to flush another one. Suddenly there was two in the air. This was our highlight for the day!
