Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge is sheltered in a forest of wild palms and fig trees and flanked by the papyrus-rich channels of the Okavango Delta. The sensitively designed lodge witnesses the ever-changing moods of the Delta, from wintry oasis to rainy rejuvenation.
Scops Owl seeking refuge in Kasane office 014
It was at about 12 midday I heard a group of Arrowmarked Babblers chakling harshly right in front of the office, when I tried to go out to investigate what was going on I nearly collided with a terrified scops owl by the door which flew in to seek refuge under the office desk, the way it was breathing tells me it has been under siege for quite a while. I took it out when the pursuers had disappeared.
I thought I heard a big THANK YOU! when it flew away.
