Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Crater Lodge is perched on the edge of the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater at the eastern edge of the Serengeti in northern Tanzania. It lies within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which covers more than 8 000 square kilometres (3 100 square miles) of pristine African wilderness.

SOUNDS OF NATURE
After an exciting sighting of the lions we drove through the Lerai Forest. Giant yellow bark acacia trees dominate the forest. we parked the vehicle in the middle of the forest. It was very quiet. We could hear different bird calls. All of the birds were very active that morning, flying from one tree to another. The tropical boubou has very interesting calls. There was a large male elephant drinking in the river nearby and not far from there, there was a spotted hyena crushing buffalo ribs. We stayed there for more than 30 minutes enjoying the sounds of the water flowing from the stream, the calls of the birds and the sighting of elephant and hyena.
