Baghvan
Baghvan is aptly named after one of India's iconic symbols, the Bengal tiger (bagh - tiger and van - forest). This enchanting lodge is located on the edge of Pench National Park, a dry deciduous forest of predominantly teak trees and meandering jungle streams.
A typical Central Indian teak jungle, Pench supports a rich variety of wildlife, including the tiger, leopard, wild dog, gaur, sambar, chital and brilliant birdlife. The Park's open habitat not only lends well to wildlife viewing, but it also offers striking views of the area's sheer beauty. This national park received international recognition from Rudyard Kipling's classic tale, the Jungle Book.

Spot the Leopard
As we were driving in the park we heard alarm calls of Langur. So we turned back from were the langurs were giving alarm calls. As we were about to reach the place, I saw vehicles which were already parked at some distance. I stopped the vehicle giving a gap of about 100 mtrs and with in few seconds a sub-adult male Leopard leaps from the grass and we all including guests shouted at the same time "LEOPARD". Leopard then carefully started walking between the bushes and sat in the lantana bush and was there for almost 10 minutes. B'cause all the vehicles were making noise and Leopard wanted to cross the road thats why it came all the way through the dry river bed and from a tunnel under the road, so no one can spot it. We were the lucky one to spot this shy and elusive predator of the Indian Jungles.
