STILL SOME FIGHT LEFT
The three remaining Male lions out of the original six in the Western Sector are all still alive and looking fairly good health-wise. We have been saying for the past year that these males are surely fast approaching their expiry dates. With the oldest speculated to be as old as fourteen or fifteen years old it’s obvious as to why we are all so surprised that this male is still actively involved in some epic battles with his dinner from time to time. A few nights ago this male and his two coalition members, as well as one female from the Ximungwe pride managed to kill not one, but two adult buffalos. They killed an adult bull and an adult cow in the same place a few metres apart. This is very impressive as a buffalo is not the easiest of prey to take down at the best of times, let alone two at the same time!
