Swainson's for breacfast

On my way to go and drop off some geust's from the Ngala Walking Safaris Camp we came across this Secretarybird been harrased by a pair of Swainson's spurfowls. Often when smaller birds llike the spurfowls attack bigger birds its normaly indefence of them selves or of young that are hidden away some were in the grass. So stopping to watch what was going on we noticed that the secretarybird was after the joung of the fowl's and with in a few minuets the snake huntter had cought one, kicked it in a very similar way that it would kick a snake when hunting them and then swollowed it hole. Because of the lack of snakes around this time of the year the secretarybird has replaced his food type to other birds, aswell as insects and rodents. Snakes are seldomely eaten.
