Tanzania Wildlife
Tanzania’s national parks and game reserves cover one seventh of the country and include the Serengeti National Park, which is famous for its vast migratory herds of plains animals, particularly wildebeest, zebra, eland and kudu. There are small bands of chimpanzees that can be found in the Gombe National Park along Lake Tanganyika. The steep mountain walls of the Ngorongoro Crater provide protection and a natural enclosure for animals in an environment of great natural beauty. The crater forms a part of the Ngorongoro Park. Rhino and elephant numbers are still low due to poaching in the past, despite the government’s protective measures.

We drove heading up west just following the great herds and when we arrived at the Hippo pool we stopped for a while watching hippo’s and crocodiles enjoying themselves under the water and as we left the hippo pool taking the road going thorough Sero three, we found the lioness up in a acacia tree relaxed, watching the migration as they move forward under...

Today was an absolutely a great day words can not just explain, we drove through the middle of the wildebeests though extreme dust that was leading ahead of the herds, did not give a chance of seen much to what was happening in between. We took our way out of the herds and watched from a distance and there we saw a lioness stalking a wildebeest calf, it...

While we were out on drive, I noticed a giraffe looking at something in the bush with great interest. Unfortunately we could not see what it was looking at. We decided to go on with the drive and on our way back, there it was, a Cheetah that had killed a Grey Duiker. Im sure if we had been more patient, we might have seen the kill happen. Well, thats...

While we were driving through the open plains of the Klein's wildlife area, we came accross this lone zebra passing through. It is quite strange to see a zebra by itself as they are generally gregarious but it was even more strange to see as the migration of zebra is in the middle of the Serengetti at the moment. We have not seen Zebras for a while now.
