Tanzania Wildlife
Tanzania’s national parks and game reserves cover one seventh of the country and include the Serengeti National Park, which is famous for its vast migratory herds of plains animals, particularly wildebeest, zebra, eland and kudu. There are small bands of chimpanzees that can be found in the Gombe National Park along Lake Tanganyika. The steep mountain walls of the Ngorongoro Crater provide protection and a natural enclosure for animals in an environment of great natural beauty. The crater forms a part of the Ngorongoro Park. Rhino and elephant numbers are still low due to poaching in the past, despite the government’s protective measures.

To see Leopards in the bush is always an amazing sighting but when we saw this female with three cubs, we were over joyed. When we arrived, they were relaxing in a tree but they eventually came down, lay on the green grass and two of the cubs started suckling. It is extremely rare to see leopard cubs suckling, so we were very lucky!

On this afternoon's dive with Paul we sat in the sand and watched some very interesting behaviour. This giant triggerfish was chewing on a very comfortable cushion star. During the 10 minutes we stayed with him he got more and more animated, throwing the star around, before dragging it into a hole and looking all proud of himself. During this a number...

This fantastic lobster was seen at Small Wall this morning. One of the biggest lobsters that we have seen over here for a long time, the photograph shows how incredible the colourations are on this species.

Whilst diving on Boathouse reef this morning we stumbled across a number of different juvenile species. Amongst them was this adorable little female white-spotted boxfish. From tip to tail it was around 5 cm long and decided to pose for a photo...aaah cute!

This is the second baby in two years for one of the two semi-habituated pairs we regularly see on the island.
I was unable to determine sex, despite the fact the little guy seemed to view me as a curiosity rather than a threat, letting me come within five metres of him/her.
Our new addition brings the total number of Ader’s duiker seen regularly to...

Was quiet unusual for me to encounter such a big number of Giraffes all together. We were driving on the other side of the Crater about 6km from the desceng point heading to the Ngorongoro/Serengeti border, we counted more than 50 Giraffes on one side of the road and on the other side[opposite], more than 50. I thought could be two different...

As I was driving with my guests early in the Morning to the big Marsh we saw a pride of lions sleeping also there was a group of wildebeest grazing about 300m away. We stopped and watched them for while and the pride of lioness shows an interest to the group of wildebeest. A single lioness went around and chased the wildebeest towards the other lions that...
