Ngala Private Game Reserve has the privilege of being the only private reserve in the world-renowned Kruger National Park. Opulent Ngala Safari Lodge pays tribute to a bygone era of elegance while Ngala Tented Camp is chic and modern.

The breeding game, Impala,Dogs and Kudu
So, it’s come to that time of the year again and the breeding game is no. The Impalas have started the rut and the Kudu bulls have inflated there neck mussels to impress kudu cows. In the mist of all the action there is a predator may be even the super predator, in my books, the African Wild Dog. The dogs did den here at Ngala last year and it was a very successful den sight with very little other predator activity around, so the dogs managed to bring up most of the litter from 24, 20 of the puppies survived and are now roaming around with the alfa male and his female through out the Kruger and Ngala. This morning we found the pack again with all the dogs still there and two our surprise the alfa female and the beta female are both pregnant and are looking for a place to den. They did manage to kill a impala here today and yesterday as well so the hunting success so far for the pack is 95%. This is a good singe for us here at Ngala. Hopefully they will den here again and provide us with some amazing sighting again.
