Exeter River Lodge is situated within the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, renowned for having the best Big Five game-viewing in South Africa, if not the world. The Reserve is famous for its incredible leopard sightings. The Sabi Sand leopards have grown accustomed to safari vehicles, thereby permitting close up sightings and extraordinary photographic opportunities.
THE SELATI BOYS
We had spent most of the morning drive waiting for the chance to get a sighting of the new male lion coalition known as the Selati pride. As we got closer we knew they were somewhere in the river bed, but our hearts raced as the voices on the radio indicated they did indeed know the exact location. There was no way Justin was not going to show us these magnificent beasts so down in to the river we went. As we rounded one of the huge boulders, there they were, all four males sitting together on the massive rock, one of the most magnificent wildlife sights we have seen.
Thanks Justin for this unforgettable sight and for getting us into that eye level position.
