Three kills within a single minute
It was a full day game drive and we had started early in the morning. Whilst on on the drive, in the middle of the Serengeti, we spot a lioness, one which we observe frequently. All of a sudden, on the other side, we saw about 4 Thomson gazelles and an impala walking towards the lioness. She suddenly hid herself in the closses bush. The gazelles were not aware of the lioness's presence. The lioness then began stalking them. She very quickly caught one, then another and another. She tried for a fourth, but the gazelle managed to get away. This all happened within about 40 - 50 seconds! The lioness carried 2 of her kill in her mouth and placed them under a tree. She then began feeding on them. It was an amazing sighting, one which I haven't seen before!
