Unforgettable Sun Set

As the rains slowly build up in the lowveld, the bush is desperately awaiting for the arrival. The water holes are a number one hit at the moment with lots going on around them. Herds of buffalo, elephants and lots of plains game species are gathering around them to quench there thirst and also to try cool down in midday heat which has reached a high of 42 degrees last week. When the prey species are in abundance around the water so are the predators, and this afternoon was a special one with Lions on a buffalo kill Hyena waiting around in the water cooling down at the same time and the others all coming down in desperation for a drink. The sun setting in the back ground and the hippos also keeping an eye on the lions, the scene was just spectacular and one never to forget.
