WELL CAMOUFLAGED INDIAN OCEAN WALKMAN
The Indian Ocean Walkman (Inimicus didactylus) is probably the most curious looking fish we have in the area. If you are lucky enough to see him moving around, you would notice that it looks like he has legs which he is crawling around with. These so-called legs are actually two rays of his pectoral fins that are completely detached from his body. He also has venomous spines on his back and brightly coloured pectoral fins he might deploy as a warning. The one in this picture was dug in so deep we almost missed it!
