&BEYOND Kirkman's Kamp

Kirkman's Kamp, with its spectacular views of the unspoilt wilderness and the Sabi Sand River, is regarded as one of the best loved lodges in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. A well known historic camp, originally built in the early 1920's Kirkmans Kamp celebrates the atmosphere of an early South African lowveld homestead.

White duiker gives birth

When ever we go through this area we keep a look out for the illusive white duiker that we have seen on a number of occasions. Today we went to that area and wha we found was fantastic. We fisrt noticed the white body standing out from behind the bush. then on closer inspection we saw that this white duiker had a baby with her. The baby is of normal colour and was looking healthy. It was not long before they took off, but i am sure we will see them again.
