WILD DOG FLUSHES RARE GREEN SANDPIPER

There have been numerous fantastic wild dog sightings of late, one of which was where one broke from the pack and took an impala lamb in the river right in front of my house! The alarming of baboons disturbed the dog enough to make it leave the badly injured lamb to suffer in the river (later we think a baboon made off with it).

I hopped into the vehicle with the family and we drove to the other side of camp and found a pack of about 12 dogs on the hunt. As they moved off into the thicker woodland, one dog approached a small pan and as he did so, flushed the rare Green Sandpiper right towards us for a great view - that taking care of the mammal and bird enthusiasts at the same time!
