Sheltering below the plunging walls of the Great Rift Valley lies the quintessentially serene Lake Manyara Tented Camp, tucked in an evergreen forest on bird-rich Lake Manyara. Lake Manyara National Park is where Ernest Hemingway camped on the hunting safari that inspired his book, Green Hills of Africa.
Wild dogs!
As we were driving back to the lodge from the morning game drive with six guests at around 10:15, just around the corner of about 7kms North away from the lodge a place know as harmerkorp we were suprised by 3 wild dogs which were infront of us 15 meters away. They were very relaxed as they were stretching & playing, this is my second sight at Manyara apart from the third sight which was sported by my fellow ranger.
