WILD DOGS CHASE WATERBUCK

Since winter, when the pack was denning at Ngala, our sightings of the wild dogs have been more limited. Perhaps it just feels that way because we used to view them on a daily basis during that time.

Yesterday morning, however, a pack of 19 animals were seen attempting to hunt waterbuck near a waterhole. The excitement was great, although they were not successful. No youngsters were in the particular herd that they were after. To be able to watch the interaction was just something special.
