Fantastic gang of male, females and youngstars. All looking at the vehicle like waiting for picture,Up clopse and personal.More interesting is when they take off (runing out) for a very short distance and turn back toward the vehicle with their head and nose up,all this was to find out whom we are by looking up close and smelling.

Dazzling up on the open grass land with the fantastic okavango delta (african) sunset on the background.Seeing how they dazzle up,front to back meaning standing facing different direction is the clever way of looking out for their enemies not only that but the other way of keeping flies out off their face with their tails.

Exllent sight, rolling in mud, eating around the main area.It was realy special for me to see the parade of elephant in camp,I think the main source of attraction was the green sausage trees which was just having their leaves not only to eat but to be on the shade for the first heat of the african summer.

Amid the noises from the construction crews and machines,Xudum Okavango Delta Lodge had a prized visitor on site before the lodge opened. This owl spent the whole day perched on a branch directly above one of the rooms, seemingly oblivious to everything that was going on on the ground. For keen birders, this was a priceless scoop!!!

This elephant died of unknown causes and within days the cacass smell lured a pride of lions, who naturally, will always help themselves to any free meal, maggots and all.See how the cubs intently watch the adult feed and later joining in.Pictures were taken by Jesse Kalwij while the lodge was still under construction.
